Inverter Charger Units
Inverter chargers can be provided as galvanically isolated supplies or hot grid supplies
As high performance vehicle inverter/chargers they exhibit near uniform bidirectonal capacity so they are ideal for portable power and rapid charge in traditional applications and EV applications
The isolated units are based on a single transformer core which provides isolation of the batteries, mains feed and auxillary feeds
Non-isolated units are intended for high power, fixed installations or large portable battery/gen sets where battery stacks of 650 volts are acceptable
The technology underpinning these developments scales well due to the high voltages and power switching capabilities of modern SiC and GAN transistor technologies
