Current mode power factor correction
Current mode active power factor correction is designed to match voltage and current waveforms for optimal loading of the AC power line
These designs handle only the power necessary for correction and do not correct voltage anomalies
Unlike passive designs, active PFC can handle very wide load variations while maintaining near unity power factor
Our three phase designs are being developed to manage load balancing so that the incoming power feed sees not only unity power factor, this device can ensure load imbalances are corrected up to the current capacity of the PFC unit
