Voltage mode power factor correction
Voltage mode active power factor correction comes in 2 varieties
The basic unit provides corrected power factor to the input line while providing voltage controlled output which has the same phase and frequency as the AC input line
The advanced unit gives an output that is phase, frequency and voltage independent of the input
The basic unit is strictly single phase while the advanced unit can provide three phase output from a single phase input
These units are ideal for machines requiring 110-240vac single phase supply capability while providing internal voltages of 110vac, 220vac and 390vdc
Variants of these units can provide current mode PFC on the power feed line while simultaneously providing relugated outputs
